It is finished. These three beautiful words might just as well be "I love you," because in these words and the actions that accompanied them, we find the greatest act of love in the world's history.
As we prepare to enter into the Lenten season, take some time to carefully read and reflect on the final days leading up to Jesus' crucifixion and death. He went to the cross with you and me in mind. He went knowing it would entail extraordinary suffering. And He went knowing that the prize was us and our salvation.
And of course, He did not remain in the grave. He rose and He calls and commissions His church to go and make known the hope and love that can and will transform the world.
