At Prince of Peace family is priority! We believe that God calls parents to be the primary spiritualleaders and nurturers in the lives of their children and we desire to walk with you in this calling. Milestone Ministry does just that!

This ministry is designed to come around your family at the significant milestones in the lives of your children. We aim to equip and support you, strengthening the spiritual foundation of your home and your walk together in the faith.

 

What are Milestones?

In each Milestone, parents will attend three sessions with other parents who have children the same age. During the sessions, we will learn and grow together and then take what we’ve learned home and put it into practice. For the fourth session, we will have a time of recognition and blessing in worship, celebrating the milestone with your family.

 

 Age 2 - The Blessing - January 6, 13, 20 & 27 2013

Blessed to be a Blessing… Sharing your faith with your two-year-old and praying a blessing over them.

 

Age 4 - Worship - September 9, 16, 23 & 30 2012

Understanding worship as a lifestyle and creating an atmosphere of grace and adoration for Jesus in your every day life.

 

   

1st Grade - Servanthood - Feb. 3, 10, 17 & 24, 2013

Understanding servanthood and creating generous hearts in our children which overflow with the love of Jesus Christ into the world around them.

 3rd Grade - The Bible - October 7, 14, 21 & 28 2012

Understanding the Bible as the true Word of God; living and active, and discovering how to have meaningful family devotions. Parents will present their child with a Bible during the blessing in worship.

 

 6th Grade - The Way: Living as a Child of God

Parents and students walk together and explore what it means to live as a young man or a young woman of God during the transition into Middle School and adolescence. Parents will present their child with a keepsake or letter during the blessing in worship.

 

7th & 8th Grade - Confirmation

Parents will walk with their students through the basic tenants of the Christian faith as students begin to claim this faith as their own. Students are confirmed at the end of the 8th grade year.

 

 All Ages - The Legacy – March 4 – May 20 2012

9:30AM & 11AM in Adult Education Center 2 with Sandi Grupe & Dave Rahberg

9:30AM in Conference Center with Pastor Holdorf

Your Faith Legacy is the most valuable gift that you, your family and friends will ever receive. “The Legacy” course will help you to chart your faith journey with life mapping. Personal and family values will be identified and used for developing a mission statement which will guide you in taking your next steps toward a grace filled life that creates an eternal legacy of faith.

This is an opportunity for indivduals, couples, and families. Class participants will be equipped to take key concepts from the Legacy journey and put them into action at home. If you are an empty nester, retired, married or single, this is a powerful way to discover God’s presence in your life and your hope in Him for the future.
