MIDDLE SCHOOL CONFIRMATION MINISTRY
Confirmation is for 7th & 8th grade students and parents. There is a family element involved throughout, as we believe parents play an essential role in the spiritual forming of their children. Confirmation is every Sunday from 9:30 – 10:45, and uses the large-group/small group (LIFE Groups – by gender) format. Our experiential curriculum will attend to the various learning styles of our young people. Confirmation at POP is an opportunity to grow in faith individually, as a family and as a community so that students may begin owning faith for themselves through a variety of experiences. It is as much about the heart as it is about the head.
CONFIRMATION CEREMONY SCHEDULE 2012
May 12: Confirmation ceremony rehersal (10am) and Family Banquet (11:30am)
Banquet assignments for 7th Grade LIFE Groups
- Setup, May 11th - 6:30 to 8/8:30: Mike Nolan and Eli Ericksen group, Angie Bullard and Tammy Przygoda group
- Serving the meal at the banquet, May 12th 11 - 12:30: Jessica Salcido and Kelsey Hildebrandt group
- Cleanup, May 12th 1 - 230: Lisa and Mike Holdorf group, Chris Schroeder and Caleb Weiss group
May 19: Confirmation Ceremony (11am, POP Sanctuary) **Students arrive at 8:30 for pictures
May 20: Confirmation Milestone recognition (during all three worship services, families which service to attend.)
*Parents, please have your child wear his/her robe to worship this Sunday. As you worship together, please take this opportunity to receive Holy Communion with your child for his/her first time!
