Why Missions?
The Mission of God is the calling and commission of the church. (Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 10:13-15). Christ came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10). He proclaimed freedom and provided help to the helpless, hope to the hopeless. (Luke 4:18-19) The mission of God occurs all over the world. God does not love one place or people more than another (John 3:16). In fact, the apostles were called to witness in their own backyard (Jerusalem), in the regions surrounding them (Judea and Samaria) and to the uttermost parts of the earth (Acts 1:8). The calling of the church is the same. We cannot neglect the mission field in our own backyard, but neither can we neglect the heart of God for the world and the extraordinary needs and opportunities of people everywhere. On their behalf, the Holy Spirit beckons us to go into all the world (Mark 16:15, Acts 16:9-10) to bring help and hope in Jesus' name.

- International
Prince of Peace sponsors local monthly missions in the North Dallas. These four hour events are an wonderful opportunity to work side by side with your family, friends, and members of the congregation in doing God's work. By joining the 1st Saturday mission group, you and will receive information and updates on all planned events.
