Names: Mike & Cindy Rodewald (Caleb, Jacob and Seth)

Where they serve: South Africa

What they do: Mike and Cindy Rodewald serve as LCMS
missionaries in South Africa. Mike is the regional director of Africa—he helps maintain partnership links and facilitates the work of partner churches throughout Africa. Mike also directs the work of missionaries in Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Togo, and Uganda. He also supervises LCMS World Mission projects throughout the region. Mike and Cindy remain associate missionaries with Lutheran Bible Translators (LBT).

How you can help: Please pray for the Rodewalds as they serve in South Africa and as Mike travels throughout the continent. Ask the Lord to protect them in their daily lives and as they travel. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance and wisdom as they work with partner churches and African Christians. Pray that they would be a shining light of Jesus’ love to all around them. Finally, thank the Lord for raising up the Rodewalds to be His witnesses in Africa!

Name: Connie Seale

Where she serves: Kosovo

What she does: Connie currently serves the Lord in Gjilan, Kosovo with the C&MA. For her first two years she will focus on learning Albanian. After that she will join a team in their work with the mission center and church in Gjilan. The Lord has given Connie a heart for missions and she has been pursuing full-time overseas service since she was a high school student and attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with her family.

How you can help: Please pray that Connie would make good progress in learning the language and culture. Pray for opportunities for her to share the gospel and to find Christian fellowship and encouragement in Kosovo.

Names: Shauen & Krista Trump (Josiah)

Where they serve: Kenya

What they do: Rev. Shauen and Krista Trump recently received a call to serve as LCMS missionaries in Kenya where Shauen will serve as a Mission Facilitator for Kenya and Tanzania. They are moving to Kenya from Uganda where Shauen completed his vicarage. Krista is a labor and delivery nurse and hopes to reach out to the people of Kenya through health care ministry.

Names: Bruce &  Sarah Wall (Stephanie, Benjamin)

Where they serve: Panama

What they do: Bruce and Sarah Wall serve through LCMS World Mission in Latin America. They are based out of Panama, but their ministry touches the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Peru. As the area facilitator for these countries, Bruce facilitates and supports the work of missionaries and partner churches, works alongside missionaries to develop strategic mission plans, identifies ministry needs, and supports missionaries in the development of skills and further formation. He also researches new opportunities for mission work and develops plans to start work or expand existing projects.

How you can help: Please pray for the Wall family as they begin to serve the Lord in Panama and other countries in Latin America. Ask God to guide them in their transition to life in Panama and to give them the capacity for learning Spanish, so they might communicate effectively. Also, lift up the missionaries and partner churches in Latin America with whom Bruce and Sarah work to spread the Gospel.

Names: Joel & Iantha Scheiwe (Eliada, Talia)

Where they serve: Hong Kong

What they do: Rev. Joel and Iantha Scheiwe work in Asia, based out of Hong Kong. Joel is a strategic mission developer, engaging in local leadership training and connecting North American churches and volunteers with local Asian churches. There is a great need for church workers in Asia, and LCMS World Mission is finding creative ways to equip them to proclaim the Word of Christ. Iantha is director of operations for Concordia Welfare and Education Foundation (CWEF), a Hong Kong-based non-profit organization that works to alleviate poverty through education and service. She works with local managers and staff across Southeast Asia.

How you can help: Please pray for the Scheiwe family as they serve in Asia, build relationships, and grow in the development of their roles. They ask for prayers for all the believers in Asia to have strength and boldness in God’s mission. Pray also that the Holy Spirit would change people’s lives as the Word of God is proclaimed.

Names: Mark & Sandi Eisold (Erik, Annalise)

Where they serve: Peru

What they do: Mark and Sandi Eisold serve the Lord in Peru as career missionaries through LCMS World Mission. Their specific ministry includes implementing a mission strategy and leading the LCMS team there. The Eisolds strive to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, gather them into a worship
community, raise up new disciples in the teachings of the Bible, identify leaders, equip them for leadership, and commission new believers and leaders to partner with missionaries as they are sent out to start more worship communities.

How you can help: Please pray for the Eisold family as they serve in Peru. They
write, “We know that many people in Peru are far from saving faith in Jesus. There are many spiritual obstacles to overcome. Pray for Jesus to make clear paths for our team in Peru. Pray that He would open eyes and ears so that they may hear the Gospel of free forgiveness and new life in Jesus Christ, so that they may know the Lord for who He is. Please pray for the safety and fulfillment of every member of our missionary team.”
