Welcome to the Prince of Peace Ministry for Adult Special Needs, including people affected by Downs Syndrome, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, and autistim. POP has sponsored this group since 1997 and has a solid core of long time members.

We use an open curriculum that includes Bible study, arts and crafts, acting, outside activities such as our annual trip to Denton State School and more.

Mosaic Group Home - Many of our members with Special Needs live in a group home administered by Mosaic.

Joni and Friends - An organization dedicated to extending the love and message of Jesus Christ to people who are affected by disability around the world.

We need your help!

We are looking for volunteers, teachers, arts and crafts instructors, sign language teachers and anyone else that would like to “be on call” for Sunday morning to help out with this class. Our immediate need is for additional teachers/teaching assistants to work with us in our class at 9:30am every Sunday morning and at the 11am worship service.

Would you consider volunteering weekly or biweekly to serve adults with special needs? Come build relationships with a very special segment of our Prince of Peace Community. You will be blessed by reaching out with the love of Christ!
